Las Vegas Golf Courses


There are 24 golf courses in the Las Vegas area. Two of the best, both rated first class, are Cascata and Rio Secco. Harrah's maintains these two beautiful golf courses for the use of Harrah's Las Vegas Resorts guests. However, these courses are both also open to the public.

Another somewhat famous golf course in Las Vegas is Shadow Creek, which is open to the guests of MGM Mirage Properties.

Cascata Golf, located just 30 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip, features breathtaking views of mountains, waterfalls and rivers. The course's challenging holes have felt-like greens.

Cascata Golf was named in "America's Best Top 100 Modern Courses" in 2004, by Golfweek magazine.

Rio Secco is set among the rolling foothills of the Black Mountain Range, which features unsurpassed views of the Las Vegas Valley.

Rio Secco is the home of The Butch Harmon School of Golf. Both 2-day and 3-day golf school packages that include hands-on instruction from Butch Harmon are available.

Shadow Creek Golf Course

Shadow Creek

Shadow Creek Golf Course was built by Steve Wynn in 1989. Tom Fazio was the architect. The course has sparkling creeks, towering waterfalls and lush gardens framed by mountains.

When Shadow Creek opened in 1990 it was one of the most exclusive golf courses in the world. The course is now owned by MGM Mirage and is open to their properties guests.

The course plays to 7239 yards from the back tees with a course rating of 71 and a slope of 115. The course is presently undergoing some renovations.
