The Pier Shops at Caesars
The Pier Shops at Caesars in Atlantic City has three levels of stores and restaurants. There are 81 shops and 8 restaurants. The pier extends 800 feet out over the Atlantic Ocean and provides spectacular views.
The pier is directly across from the Caesars casino and connected by a walkway that spans the boardwalk, however, it is not managed or owned by Caesars.
The Pier at Caesars was sold at auction on October 28th, 2011. The Pier Shops went on the auction block after Taubman Centers Inc., which owned The Pier Shops, defaulted on their $150 million mortgage. The pier shops cost $200 million to develop.
A group of lenders, which includes U.S. Bank N.A. was the winning bidder, with a bid of $25 million. The lenders group will continue to operate The Pier Shops until a new buyer is found.
Most of the stores and restaurants continue to operate, however some have closed.

One Atlantic
One Atlantic is an upscale banquet hall and wedding chapel located on the top floor of the pier. It provides great views of the ocean, and still does a strong business, even in the present poor economy.
