Getting to Atlantic City by Air

The Atlantic City International Airport is located in nearby Pomona NJ, only a short drive from the City by car. See map below.

As of June, 2008 the airport has a new 1370 space, six-story parking garage.

Spirit Airline is the main carrier at this airport and provides direct flights from many US cities. Delta also provides flights into Atlantic City, but only from their hub in Atlanta. Depending on where you are coming from, connecting through Atlanta may or may not be a very direct route.

A good choice is to fly into Philadelphia International Airport, then rent a car and drive to Atlantic City. Atlantic City is only about one hours drive from the Philadelphia International Airport. Follow Route 95N, then take Route 76 across the Walt Whitman Bridge to Route 42, which turns into the Atlantic City Expressway. See map below.

Getting to Atlantic City By Car

Atlantic City is easily reached by car from Philadelphia via the Atlantic City Expressway, and from New York via the Garden State Parkway. See map below.

Atlantic City is 60 miles from Philadelphia, 125 miles from New York City, and 175 miles from Washington, DC.

You don't have to worry about parking at the Atlantic City casinos. They all have large muli-level indoor parking garages. Parking rates are reasonable.

Getting to Atlantic City by Rail

NJ Transit offers 14 round-trips daily between Philadelphia's 30th Street Station and the Atlantic City Rail Terminal which is adjacent to the Convention Center.

NJ Transit and Borgata Hotel & Spa, Caesars Atlantic City and Harrah's Atlantic City have joined forces to to provide weekend express train service between New York City and Atlantic City. This project was to begin in December 2007, but has been delayed until 2009.
