Yeah Yeah Yeahs are a New York City-based indie rock band formed in the year 2000. The band consists of lead singer Karen O, drummer Brian Chase, and guitarist Nick Zinner.

Their musical style is referred to as "art punk" or "garage rock." In 2003, the band released their first complete album, "Fever to Tell," which received several strong critical reviews and sold more than 750,000 copies worldwide. The album's single, "Maps," received significant airplay on alternative radio. Its second album "Show Your Bones" came out in 2006, and rated high on the Billboard charts. Its latest album "It's a Blitz" was released in early 2009. Yeah Yeah Yeah's albums have received high praise by critics. The group also became one of the first western rock groups to play in China when they headlined the Modern Sky Festival in Beijing in the year 2007.

The band's live performances are highlighted by their lead singer Karen O's hyperactivity on stage. Everyone is just watching to see what she will do next, and they are seldom disappointed.

They tour heavily, and their tour stops include Atlantic City.
