Wynonna Judd, known professionally as "Wynonna," is a country music singer and actress from Kentucky.
Wynonna first rose to fame in the 1980s alongside her mother, Naomi, as a country music duo, The Judds. While the Judd duo was together they released seven albums, which included twenty-six singles that made the charts, fourteen of which were number one hits. After The Judds disbanded in 1991, Wynonna began a solo career.
In her solo career Wynonna has released eight albums three of which went platinum. Four of her singles reached #1 on the U.S. country singles charts, these being: "She Is His Only Need," "I Saw the Light," "No One Else on Earth" and "To Be Loved by You." Her most recent album "Sing:Chapter 1," was released in 2009.
Wynonna loves to perform live, and she is much in demand along the theater and casino concert circuit. She often performs in Atlantic City.
