Phil Vassar is a country music singer, songwriter, musician and recording artist.
He made his mark on the country music scene as a songwriter in the late 1990s, co-writing songs for several country artists, including Tim McGraw ("For a Little While," and "My Next Thirty Years"), Jo Dee Messina ("Bye, Bye," and "I'm Alright"), Collin Raye ("Little Red Rodeo"), and Alan Jackson ("Right on the Money"). In 1999, he was named by ASCAP as "Country Songwriter of the Year."
As a musician he became one of country's leading piano men with the success of songs like "Just Another Day In Paradise" and "Six-Pack Summer."
As a singer Vassar has had a number of hit albums including his debut album "Phil Vaaser," which included the hit singles "Carlene" and "Just Another Day in Paris." Others were his album "American Child" and the album "Shaken Not Stirred" which contained the hit single "In a Real Love." His latest studio album "Prayer of a Common Man" adds several more layers of artistic expression to his impressive repertoire.
Phil often takes his talents on the road, with his tour stops including Atlantic City.
