Usher is a singer, dancer, recording artist
and actor from Texas. His real name is Usher Raymond IV. Usher was discovered on “Star Search," and subsequently became a major star and headline entertainer.

His recording "Confessions," released in 2004, propelled Usher into stardom with over one million copies sold in the first week of release. "Confessions Part II," "Burn" and “Yeah!" soared to the top of Billboard's Hot 100 Singles charts, selling over 10 million copies in the US and almost 20 million copies worldwide.

Usher's seventh album, "Raymond v. Raymond," a high-powered collection of songs, explored his newfound status as a single man and father, and sold more than 7 million tracks and ringtones combined. It held the No. 1 spot on Billboard's R&B chart for seven weeks and spawned a string of international hits, including "OMG" featuring will.i.am.

Usher has sold over 65 million recordings worldwide. He has won three Grammys, two MTV Video Music Awards, four World Music Awards, four American Music Awards and eleven Billboard Music Awards.

Usher also has his own record label, US Records. He also has a knack for discovering and developing talent, his newest discovery being Justin Bieber.
