
Donna Summer is a singer and songwriter from Boston, Massachusetts.
Summer has always been known for her strong vocal delivery. Her music merged R&B, soul, pop, funk, rock and disco. She gained prominence during the mid-1970s, earning the title "The Queen of Disco." She is a five-time Grammy winner,and was the first artist to win the Grammy for Best Rock Vocal Performance.
Donna had an unbroken string of hits throughout the 70s and 80s, most of which she wrote herself. Some of her hits during those years were "Love to Love You Baby," "I Feel Love," "I Remember Yesterday," "Last Dance" and "Bad Girls."
Her most recent album, "Crayons" was Released in 2008 and quickly climbed high on the charts. Donna is still active on the concert and theater tour circuit and she often performs in Atlantic City.
