Jon Stewart is a political satirist, television host, author, actor and stand up comedian from New York.

Stewart started his career as a stand-up comedian but later branched out to television. He hosts his own TV show, called "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" airing on the Comedy Central network.

The show, which has been extremely popular and successful on cable television since Stewart became the host, blends humor with the day's top news stories, usually in politics, while simultaneously poking fun at politicians and many newsmakers as well as the news media itself.

As host of "The Daily Show," Stewart has interviewed numerous political luminaries such as as former Presidents Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton and Senators Hillary Rodham Clinton, Barack Obama, John McCain and John Edwards and celebrities such as Tom Cruise, George Clooney and Tom Hanks.

Stewart has been on the cover of numerous magazines including Newsweek, Rolling Stone, New York Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, and GQ.

When not appearing on TV, Jon often takes his stand-up comedian talents on the casino tour circuit, and his tour stops include Atlantic City.
