REO Speedwagon is a rock band from Illinois. REO Speedwagon took its name from the REO Speed Wagon, a flatbed truck and fire engine, manufactured by the REO Motor Car Company.
The band is renowned for their lush orchestration and power balladry. Their 1980 album "Hi Infidelity" is the group's most commercially successful album, selling over 10 million copies.
REO Speedwagon's members include: Kevin Cronin on lead vocals and guitar, Bruce Hall on bass, Neal Doughty on keyboards, Dave Amato on lead guitar, and Bryan Hitt on drums. The group is still going strong with their newest album "Find Your Own Way Home," their first studio collection of new material in more than a decade.
The roots of the new album go back to the spring of 2000, when the band joined forces with fellow Midwest rockers STYX for a national, sold-out, co-headlining tour. The tour proved to be such a commercial success that it was recorded live and released on both CD and DVD, jokingly entitled "Arch Allies." The bands appeared together on "The Today Show," "VH1," and on numerous syndicated radio shows, including "The Howard Stern Show."
REO Speedwagon continues to tour regularly, performing mostly their classic hits. Their tour stops include Atlantic City.
