Shakira is a singer, songwriter, musician, record producer and dancer from Columbia. Shakira is the highest selling Colombian artist of all time, and the second most successful female Latin singer, having sold over 50 million albums worldwide.

In 1995 Shakira released her album "Pies Descalzos," which was a big hit in Latin America and Spain. Her 1998 album "Dónde Están los Ladrones" was also a huge success. Her first English-speaking album "Laundry Service," which contained the mega-smashes “Whenever, Wherever” and “Underneath Your Clothes," sold over 13 million copies worldwide, and spread her fame across the English speaking world. In 2005 Shakira released the albums "Fijación Oral Vol. 1" and "Oral Fixation Vol. 2," which included the hit single “Hips Don’t Lie." The song reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the most played song in the history of pop radio. Oral Fixation formed the basis of Shakiras' 2006 world tour that included 140 dates and sold out 98% of the shows.

In 2007, Sahkira teamed with Beyonce for their international hit “Beautiful Liar” from Beyonce’s “B’Day” album. The song debuted at No. 1 on both the Hot Digital Tracks and Hot Digital Songs charts.

Shakira has won two Grammy Awards, seven Latin Grammy Awards, and twelve Billboard Latin Music Awards. In 2008, Forbes has named Shakira the fourth top-earning female artist in the music industry.

Shakira continues to tour extensively, and her tour stops include Atlantic City.
