Colin Quinn

Colin Quinn is a stand-up comedian and writer from Brooklyn NY. Colin's comedy leans toward satire, political satire, news satire and humorous life observation. His subject matter includes American and world politics and current events.

Quinn started out bartending but turned to stand up comedy in 1984. In 1987 he began his TV comedy career as the co-host of the MTV game show Remote Control, which he did for three years. For five years he was part of the cast of Saturdy Night Live, and from 2002 to 2004, he was host of Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn on Comedy Central.

More recently Quinn performed his one-man show "Colin Quinn Long Story Short," on Broadway. This show directed by Jerry Seinfeld, comically satires the demise of various world empires. In this show Quinn takes a satirical, and humorous, look at the history of the world in 75 minutes. He comically explores the attitudes, appetites and bad habits that toppled some of the world's most powerful nations. In "Long Story Short," Quinn shows that throughout human history, the joke has always been on us.

Quinn's Long Story Short show aired on HBO in April of 2011. Since then he has been touring with this funny and successful show. His tour stops include Atlantic City.
