Phish is a Grateful Dead inspired jam band started by University of Vermont students, Trey Anastasio and Jeff Holdsworth in 1983. Present members of the band are Trey Anastasio, Page McConnel, Mike Gordon and Jon Fishman.

The band began playing in dorm lounges and then local bars. It started headlining major amphitheaters in 1993. It soon became known for its long open air festival jams, and devoted, almost fanatical fans, sometimes called Phishheads.

They play a wide range of music styles including rock, jazz, blues, funk, Latino, classical, calypso, and folk.

The Band performed together for over 20 years, toured heavily and recorded 14 albums. Notable albums include "Joy," "Hoist," "Junta," "Lawn Boy," "Rift" and "Undermind."

Phish broke up in 2004, however it reunited in 2009. It is back touring again, and its tour stops include Atlantic City.
