Martina McBride is a country music singer and songwriter from Kansas. She is known for her powerful ballads with a soprano range.

She released her first album "The Time Has Come," in 1992. However it was not until she released her fourth album, "Evolution," which featured a new pop-styled crossover sound, that her popularity soared. She followed that up with a string of hit singles on the Billboard country chart and occasionally on the adult contemporary chart.

McBride has recorded a total of eleven studio albums, eight of which have gone platinum. She has sold over 16 million albums. Her album "Shine," released in 2009, includes three top 20 singles including: "Ride," "I Just Call you Mine" and "Wrong Baby Wrong."

Her latest album "Eleven'" experiments with R& B and island flavored songs.

McBride often takes her music on tour. Her tour stops include Atlantic City.
