Ricky Martin is a Puerto Rican pop singer and actor.

Martin got his start at the age of 12 with the all-boy pop group Menudo. In 1991, after five years with the group, he released his Spanish-language solo album "Ricky Martin." The album was a success across America and Latin America and he went on to perform in a string of successful concerts.

In 1999 he issued an English Language version of his "Ricky Martin album. The single "Livin' la Vida Loca" was a huge hit, went 7 times platinum, and made him an international star of Latin dance-pop.

In 2003, Martin released a new Spanish album "Almas del Silencio" ("Souls of Silence"). The first single, "Tal Vez", went to number one on the Latin Charts and stayed there for twelve weeks

Martin's 2007 international promotional tour titled Blanco y Negro included a performance at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum and concluded with a presentation at the Madison Square Garden. In 2008, Martin released a greatest hits album entitled "17."

In the future, Ricky will playing Ché in the Broadway revival of the show Evita, scheduled for an opening in April 2012. Until then he will be touring, and his tour stops include Atlantic City.
