Profile

Aaron Lewis

Aaron Lewis is the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the post-grunge rock band Staind.

The Staind band features Aaron Lewis (vocals & guitar), Mike Mushok (guitar), Jon Wysocki (drums & percussion) and Johnny April (bass& vocals). Staind is known for using baritone guitars, which helps give the band its distinctive sound.

In 1999, Staind released its debut album "Dysfunction," for which Lewis was lauded for his vocals. Their albums "Break the Cycle" (2010), "14 Shades of Grey," (2003) and "Chapter V (2005) were all big hits. Extremely successful worldwide tours further established their position near the top of the pack.

Their latest album "The Illusion of Progress" (2008), reflects on their difficulty in progressing to the top, where they finally became one of the biggest rock bands of the new millennium. Aaron and the Staind band have always taken a rap for being dark and gloomy, and with "Illusions of Progress," they show a happier image with songs like "All I Want" and "Believe."

Aaron Lewis, and the Staind Band, still spend a lot of time touring, and one of their favorite tour stops is Atlantic City. Lewis often also often performs solo, and he recently released his own album of country music "Town Line."
