Denis Leary is an Irish/American comedian, actor and author. His comedy style has been described as raunchy ranting, but in a somewhat intellectual way.

Denis has made a habit of being nominated for Grammys, Emmys, Oscars and other awards, but never winning one. He also says he never wins an argument with his wife.

Leary has appeared as an actor in over 40 movies, including The Sandlot, The Matchmaker and Demolition Man. He has had the lead role in two television series, The Job and Rescue Me. Leary has also provided voices for characters in numerous animated films, such as a fire-breathing dragon named Flame in the The Agents series, a prehistoric saber-toothed cat named Diego in the Ice Age film trilogy, and the pugnacious ladybug Francis in A Bug's Life.

As an author Leary's book "Why We Suck- A Feel Good Guide To Staying Fat, Loud, Lazy And Stupid," was published by Viking Press in November of 2008, and spent almost six full months on the New York Times Bestseller List.

When not appearing on TV, or in films Denis often takes his stand-up comedian talents on the casino tour circuit, and his tour stops include Atlantic City.
