Diana Krall


Diana Krall is an award winning pianist and singer.

Krall was born in, Canada, to a musical family. Her father is an accomplished pianist and serious record collector. She grew up absorbing music that guided her future growth.

Her career took off when her "When I Look in Your Eyes" won a Grammy for best jazz vocal. It became the first jazz recording to be nominated for "Album of the Year" in twenty–five years. In 2002, Krall's "The Look of Love" became a #1 bestseller in the US and a five–time platinum album in Canada.

After marrying Elvis Costello, she worked with him as a lyricist and started to compose her own songs, resulting in the album "The Girl in the Other Room." The album, released in April 2004, quickly rose to the top five in the United Kingdom and made the Australian top 40 album charts.

Diana's latest album, "Quiet Nights," was releasded in 2009. The album is mix of ballads and Brazilian bossa nova recordings. The romantic album combines Brazilian and west-coast jazz styles and features three recordings of songs by bossa nova legend Antonio Carlos Jobim.

Diana Krall often goes on tour, and one of her favorite stops is Atlantic City.
