Kid Rock, is a guitarist, a singer and a songwriter who is known for music that fuses many music types including rap, heavy metal, blues, funk and country music. He plays many instruments and writes all of his own music. His original name is Robert James Ritchie.

He was working as a DJ at age eleven, and signed his first record deal at the age of seventeen.

Rock started to be noticed in 1998 when he released his hit album "Devil Without a Cause" which went on to sell 11 million copies. Other hits of Kid Rock include: "Cocky," " The History of Rock," "Live Trucker," and most recently "Rock N Roll Jesus," which hit Number One on the charts in its first week and got him on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine.

In his career so far, he has garnered five Grammy nominations and sold more than 22 million albums worldwide.

He gained some notoriety when he married Playboy playmate Pamela Anderson in 2006. However, the two were subsequently divorced after only five months of marriage.

Kid Rock often takes his show offshore to entertain U.S. servicemen, for example to Iraq, where he is much appreciated. He can also be found performing along the casino circuit, and he often performs in Atlantic City.
