Janet Jackson is a recording artist and actress from Indiana. She is the youngest member of the famous entertainment Jackson family. Janet is ranked as one of the top ten best-selling artists in the history of contemporary music.

Janet began her career at the young age of seven when she appeared at the MGM in Las Vegas with her family in 1973. This debut and her appearances beginning at the age of nine on her family’s variety show, The Jacksons, lead her to starring and supporting roles on hit TV sitcoms such as "Good Times," "Diff’rent Strokes" and "Fame." At fourteen she signed her first recording deal and launched her solo career.

She broke into the big time in 1986 with her album "Control" which won four American Music Awards. Her album "Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation" was also a huge success, winning numerous awards and selling over 17 million copies. Her later albums "Janet and "The Velvet Rope" shifted more to adult themes but were also well received. Janet released her second greatest hits album, "Number Ones," in 2009. Janet's acting career has had numerous successes in both TV and films.

Janet often performs on the concert tour, where her performances are described as "high voltage," providing fans with an extravaganza, featuring her numerous hits and non-stop choreography. She often performs in Atlantic City.
