Engelbert Humperdinck is a well-known popular music singer who became famous internationally after adopting the name of the famous German opera composer "Engelbert Humperdinck" as his own stage name.

In 1967 his first mega-hit “Release Me” went to #1 in 11 countries. He followed up with the hits, "Am I That Easy to Forget," "A Man Without Love," "From Here To Eternity," and others.

Humperdinck's deceptively easygoing style and casually elegant good looks, earned him a large following, particularly among women.

After the 60's, Humperdinck concentrated on live performances, developing lavish stage presentations that made him a natural for Las Vegas and similar venues, including Atlantic City.
