David Gray

David Peter Gray is an English musician, a singer, a songwriter and a band leader.

His early music was in contemporary
folk-rock and his primary instrument was acoustic guitar, with occasional piano. However, he and his band now play a variety of musical selections.

He released his first album in 1993, but didn't really hit it big until the release of his fourth album, "White Ladder," in 1999. This album included his songs: "This Year's Love," "Babylon," "Please Forgive Me," and "Sail Away." In 2000, "Babylon" hit #5 on the UK singles chart and it remains his biggest UK hit to date. In the United States, the song was picked up and played by the group, Dave Matthews Band, which brought it to worldwide attention.

In 2007, Gray released a "Greatest Hits" album which includes many of his best-known songs, as-well-as two new songs including the lead single "You're the World to Me." David is still writing songs. His album "Draw the Line" was released in 2009. His newest album titled "Foundling" was just recently released and sold 25,000 copies in its 1st week.

David Gray often takes his considerable talents on tour. His tour stops include Atlantic City.
