Whoopi Goldberg is a comedian, actress and TV personality.

You can recognize Whoopi by her dreadlocks and impish grin as shown on the right.

Whoopi's first movie success was a starring role in "The Color Purple" for which she was nominated for an oscar. She went on to star in over a hundred films including: "The Ghost," "Sister Act" and "Soapdish." She also played numerous supporting roles in films.

She came to prominence in TV doing the HBO special, "Moms Mabley" and she has made regular appearances on the "Star Trek: The Next Generation" TV show. She has been nominated for 13 Emmy Awards for her work in television.

Whoopi Goldberg is much in demand to host benefits and tributes. She frequently hosts the Academy Awards. As a stand-up comedian, she frequently sells out the house.

When not busy in films or TV, Whoopi often makes appearances on the casino concert circuit, including appearing in Atlantic City.
