Jim Gaffigan is a stand-up comedian and actor from Indiana. He is best known for his Comedy Central Presents specials on TV.

Jim Gaffigan makes a lot of jokes about his pale skin. Gaffigan produced a series of animated shorts for Late Night With Conan O'Brien titled Pale Force, in which the animated Gaffigan and O'Brien are super heroes who fight crime with their extremely pale skin.

Gaffigan is also known for various routines or skits relating to being lazy and eating food. Especially popular routines are those involving Hot Pockets and bacon. His 2006 album, "Beyond the Pale," consisted primarily of material regarding food and American eating habits. The album was accompanied by an hour-long special on Comedy Central of the same name, which was also released on DVD. The DVD for “Beyond the Pale” went Gold within the first six months.

Jim might also be recognized from his numerous award-winning commercial campaigns, which include Sierra Mist, ESPN, Saturn and Rolling Rock. His commercial presence earned him Business Week’s 1999 "Salesman of the Year" honor.

When he can get away from his TV and film commitments, Jim enjoys the role of stand-up comedian. He often performs in Atlantic City.
