
Sara Evans is a country singer and songwriter from Missouri.
Sara's first album "Three Chords and the Truth," made numerous top 10 lists in 1997. However she really made the big time with her second album which included the hit single "No Place That Far," which was a duet with Vince Gill, and which was certifed gold.
In 2001 Sara's "Born to Fly" album went double-platinum. She went on to release two albums that reached platinum status, these being "Restless" in 2003 and "Real Fine Place" in 2005. Sara was named 2006 Female Vocalist of the Year in the R&R Reader's Poll and has been included in People magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People." Also in 2001, Evans was the most-nominated artist at the Country Music Association awards with seven nominations overall, and her "Born to Fly" won the award for Video of the Year.
In 2007, Sara released her first Greatest Hits album. It features 10 of Evans' major hits, including "No Place That Far," "A Real Fine Place to Start," and "Born to Fly." It also has four new songs, including the lead-off single "As If", which was a Top 20 hit on the country charts.
Sara Evans often hits the theater and casino tour trail and her tour stops include Atlantic City.
