Miley Cyrus is best known for playing the character "Hannah Montana" in the Disney Channel original series "Hannah Montana." Miley is the daughter of country music superstar Billy Ray Cyrus.

Miley auditioned for the title role of the Disney Channel's "Hannah Montana" when she was only 12 years old, but won the role at the age of 14. In Hannah Montana's first season, it achieved some of the highest ratings ever for a Disney Channel original series.

Miley recently completed work on "Hannah Montana: The Movie," and she is now branching out to become a singing star in her own right. That is the message in her recent albums, "Breakout" and "Can't Be Tamed."

Miley recently released a book sharing her inspiring story, spanning from her Southern roots in Tennessee to the excitement of her record-setting triumphs in TV, music and film.

In 2007 Miley broke box office records on her "Best of Both Worlds" tour, which included a performance at Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall.

Miley Cyrus looks forward to a more aggressive musical future as she grows older.
