Daniel Lawrence Whitney, better known by the stage name "Larry the Cable Guy," is a stand-up comedian and actor.

His first comedy album release "Lord, I Apologize," reached gold status, selling more than 500,000 copies. The CD was Number One on the Billboard Comedy Charts for fifteen weeks in a row. Larry‘s DVD special "Git-R-Done," has sold more than 1 million copies and has been certified platinum. In all, he has released five comedy albums, of which three have been certified gold.

Larry is one of the co-stars of the "Blue Collar Comedy Tour," a comedy troupe which also includes Bill Engvall and Jeff Foxworthy. The highly acclaimed "Blue Collar Comedy Tour," played to sold out audiences in over 90 cities.

Larry was the voice of Mater in the Disney/Pixar film "Cars" as-well-as the star of the movies "Witless Protection," "Delta Farce," and "Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector."

With his signature catch phrase, “Git-R-Done,” this church-going, strip bar-going, know-it-all comedian is selling out theaters and arenas across the United States. Larry often performs in Atlantic City.
