Jackson Browne


Jackson Browne is a rock singer, a songwriter and a musician.

He is a gifted songwriter; his songs have been performed by Joan Baez, Tom Rush, the Eagles, Linda Ronstadt, the Byrds and Steve Noonan, among others. Browne's work gained a reputation for its compelling melodies, clear, honest and insightful lyrics, and a flair for composition rarely seen in the world of rock-and-roll. He is often referred to as "a thinking man's rock star."

Browne is best known for a series of acclaimed albums in the mid-to-late '70s and early '80s, notably "Late For th Sky", "The Pretender" and Running on Empty."

Jackson Browne was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004. In his induction speech, Bruce Springsteen noted that while the Eagles got to the Hall first, Browne wrote the songs they wished they had written.

Browne's newest studio album, "Time The Conqueror," was released in September of 2008.

Jackson Browne maintains a busy tour schedule that includes stops in
Atlantic City.
