In 2007, David Archuleta at the age of 16 was the runner up to David Cook in the "American Idol" TV series' seventh season. Archuleta is a singer and song-writer, and he also plays the piano.

In 2008 David's single "Crush," from his self-titled debut album "David Archuleta," reached number two on The Billboard Hot 100. Since then David has had three more songs make The Billboard Hot 100, these being "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me," "In This Moment," and "Imagine." There may be many more to come, for this is just the beginning of the career for the talented teen who captured the imagination of over 30 million "American Idol" viewers.

David is working on some new albums and he has been appearing on TV in this country and in the UK. He has also been keeping a busy tour schedule.

During the summer of 2009, David toured the United States as part of "American Idols Live!" The tour included stops in Atlantic City.

In the fall of 2009, David Archuleta began touring with Demi Lovato, as her opening act. Their tour stops included Atlantic City.
