Kris Allen is a singer, songwriter and musician from Arkansas. He was the winner of the eighth season of the American Idol TV reality show. Besides singing, Kris can play the guitar, keyboard and piano.

During the Idol competition Allen impressed the judges with an acoustic arrangement of Kanye West's "Heartless", prompting judge Jackson to state that he preferred it to West's original. That performance was key to Kris moving to the finals and winning. Allen also provided impressive performances of Swell Season's "Falling Slowly," Michael Jackson's "Remember the Time," and Donna Summer's "She Works Hard for the Money."

After Allen's victory, he has been on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Access Hollywood, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet, Live with Regis and Kelly, The Early Show, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and numerous others. He then hit the road with the annual American Idol tour. However Allen also tours on his own and his tour stops include Atlantic City.
