Clay Aiken came was runner-up in the second season competition of the American Idol television program in 2003. However, Clay wowed television audiences with his Southern charm, sweet demeanor, and powerful tenor voice.

RCA records was impressed with his singing talent and signed him to a recording contract. Clay's multi-platinum debut album "Measure of a Man" was released in October of 2003. He since has released four more albums on the RCA label: "Merry Christmas with Love," "A Thousand Different Ways," the Christmas EP, "All is Well" and "On My Way Here."

Besides recording studio albums, Aiken has authored a New York Times best-selling book with Allison Glock entitled "Learning to Sing: Hearing the Music in Your Life." He also was the executive producer for a 2004 televised Christmas special, "A Clay Aiken Christmas." Clay has been a frequent talk-show guest, particularly on "The Tonight Show" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live." He has appeared as a guest star on "Scrubs," and participated in comedy skits on Kimmel and "Saturday Night Live."

Clay has also been busy touring, having done eight tours since 2003, and is planning more.
